Murnau

The town of Murnau, 70 kilometers south of Munich is situated on the Staffelsee (Lake Staffel) which is the warmest of all the Bavarian lakes in the rural district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The beauty of its landscape motivated many painters to take up residence there, making it the cultural center of the Staffelsee region.

South of Murnau is Bavaria's largest moor (Murnauer Moos) with its varied flora and fauna. This area also offers ideal training conditions.
